"Gay of Thrones," Funny or Die's Game of Thrones recap series starring a gay hairstylist with encyclopedic pop culture knowledge, scored the mother of all cameo appearances this week: George R.R. Martin, who plays himself playing the grandfather from The Princess Bride.

If it seems like Martin is doing everything except finishing The Winds of Winter lately, maybe that's because he is. Here, he scores a good joke about readers getting the hell off his back, because these 1,500-page beasts take time to write.

A "joke." Sure.
