Watch Rob Ford Sing and Dance to "One Love" at a Council Meeting Again
Rob Ford, Toronto's most beloved singing and dancing entertainer, marked the final meeting of that city's current council the way he is wont to do: pounding his chest, swinging his hips, and making gentle pushing gestures, as a reggae band performed Bob Marley's "One Love." He even sang along!
This, of course, is only the latest manifestation of Ford's long and fruitful relationship with the music and culture of Jamaica: Last year, the visionary entertainer did an even more spirited "One Love" dance for the council and drunkenly rambled in a caribbean patois inside a fast food restaurant.
In a little-known addition to his role as Toronto's unofficial song-and-dance man, Ford also serves as mayor. He's up for reelection in October, and he might actually win.
