Times Sq. Crash: Bus Driver Charged With Driving While Ability Impaired
One of the drivers in the double decker bus crash in Times Square yesterday has been charged with "driving while ability impaired," according to NYPD. AM New York explains that this kind of charge "usually apply to drivers who are on prescription medication, drugs or have been drinking but are not above the legal limit."
At least 14 people were injured in the crash at 47th street and 7th avenue, but none of the injuries were life-threatening. Most of the injuries were caused by a traffic light pole that was hit and fell in the crash.
The Associated Press identified the driver as 58-year-old William Dalambert of Irvington, New Jersey.
