The Wife of the Pilot Who Landed on a Bronx Expressway Is Not Amused
The wife of Michael Schwartz, the pilot who made an emergency landing in a Piper PA28 Cherokee with two women who were not his wife, does not sound happy.
Fifty-year-old Schwartz made headlines yesterday when the engine on his plane failed and he was forced to land in the center of a Bronx expressway.
According to reports, he was flying with two women, aged 43 and 20. One of the women suffered a minor head injury, but police say there were no life threatening injuries.
The LoHud, chasing the story, tracked down Schwartz's wife for comment.
Reached Saturday evening, Michael Schwartz's wife, Giovanna, said she had just learned of the landing. She said she was not on the aircraft and declined further comment.
"Why don't you ask him?" she told the reporter. "I'm sure he would be happy to tell you."
