Ed Klein is a writer of political books, and a thoroughly discredited right wing political conspiracy theorist. He publishes outrageous and untrustworthy political allegations for a living. That said, his latest rumor is pretty entertaining.

Here it is, **to be used for entertainment purposes only**, via Klein’s website: he alleges that Barack Obama has told Joe Biden that he will endorse him for president, if Joe Biden agrees to let Obama pick Biden’s Vice President. And there’s more!

In addition, there is speculation among top Democratic sources that Obama has another quid pro quo for his endorsement: he wants Biden to choose an African American as his vice presidential running mate.

In this scenario, which Obama has not yet fully explained to Biden, Biden would promise to serve only one term in the White House, after which he would back his vice president to succeed him.

Klein writes that “Democratic sources” (a term that could reasonably be interpreted to include tens of millions of Americans) say that Obama’s preference for Biden’s VP would be Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, who is—let me Google this—yes, a black man, and a wild-eyed radical employed by Bain Capital.

It looks like this all checks out.
