Very interesting that they went to the NYT. Charlie Savage is top notch and Scott Shane ain't bad either. But the WSJ just dropped a bombshell this week (I guess, there was no fucking way in hell that the Guardian would cooperate with a Newscorp property, even though, the WSJ has some kick ass reporters). And the WPost has been dropping bombshells as well. But I can't blame the Guardian for seeking some institutional cover.

And considering Snowden apparently wanted to, and did, avoid the NYT because he feared collusion with the US government. It's my understanding that all the major media, especially papers, have been co-opted long ago.

As far as I can tell, Snowden is right. Working with the NYT on these matters is just like working with the National Security Council. Isn't that right Judith Miller?
