Yesterday morning, video surfaced of Rep. Joe Garcia (D-FL) picking his ear and eating it on C-Span. Last night, the good congressman explained himself, saying the whole matter could've been avoided if only he'd listened to his mom.

He also compared coverage of the incident to that of the Jay-Z vs. Solange elevator brawl, which seems excessive. Bonus points, though, for excellent hashtag use: #papparazzi

Anyway, lesson learned: Never pick your ear and eat it while you're on television.
