Teens : they love to cruise the web on their apps. Yik Yak. Snapchat. Kik. Hot Topic. Updog. Grimble. Blig Blug. Channing Tatum. But just when you thought you couldn't possibly predict the next app phenomenon, the Pew Research Center has released a study revealing that teens are still "faving" and "RTing" their first social media love: Facebook.

Pew's new study on teen social media use, which was released on April 9, features data from 1,060 American teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17. The results: Teens are fucking obsessed with social media and getting their jollies on the web (literal same), and despite rumors that teens had found a better party elsewhere, even the rise of Instagram and Snapchat can't beat Facebook. From the AP:

Facebook was the site they used most frequently, at 41 percent, followed by Instagram at 20 percent and Snapchat at 11 percent. Boys are more likely than girls to report they visit Facebook most often — at 45 percent versus 36 percent of girls.

How often do teens go online? Ninety-two percent of teens said they went online every day, and 24 percent claimed that they were online "almost constantly." Can't wait to see how they turn out. More than half of teens who responded to the online study admitted to going online "several times a day," and 12 percent (virgins) said they only used the web once daily. When teens had access to smartphones or mobile devices, 94 percent of teens admitted to using the internet daily or more often.
