Teens today do everything on social media, including make school shooting threats. California police arrested a 15-year-old boy on Sunday for posting photos of dead bodies and guns to Instagram with threats to shoot up Valencia High School in the Santa Clarita Valley. One of his captions read, "NO MERCY WILL BE SHOWN."

Cops don't believe the teen actually intended to go on a shooting rampage—no guns or plans were found in his home. Still, the posts freaked out kids and adults in the area. According to the Los Angeles Daily News, cops got at least 100 calls about the Instagrams on Saturday night. In one of the Instagram posts, the boy wrote:

TO THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE SCV AREA. THERE WILL BE A HUGE [redacted] SHOOTING SOON AND A LOT OF YOU [redacted] ARE GOING TO DIE. WE ARE AIMING OUR GUNS MOSTLY AT HIGH SCHOOLS STUDENTS SO YOU PIECES OF [redacted] BETTER BE READY BECAUSE BLOOD WILL BE SHED AND FAMILIES WILL SUFFER. NO MERCY WILL BE SHOWN. SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH WILL HAPPEN ON A VERY DREADFUL DAY. I MUST NOT TELL YOU WHICH DAY IT WILL BE, YOU WILL FIND OUT YOURSELF.

Police Lt. Brenda Cambra said there were also posts that specifically made "threats against women" and "racial threats." Cops have not said whether or not the boy attends Valencia High, but they did say he attends high school in the Santa Clarita Valley.

LAist notes that the threats could be related to the @Scv_Purge Instagram account, which leaked the nudes of several Santa Clarita teens last month.
