How was your Memorial Day weekend? Hopefully great. Hopefully a Memorial Day weekend you will never forget. Us Weekly reports that humble Christmas tree farmer Taylor Swift passed the weekend in the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, where she recently purchased a sprawling $17M beachfront mansion filled to the brim with tasteful striped fabrics and whispers and ghosts. A couple weeks ago, a man from Illinois was arrested after allegedly swimming up to the mansion while Taylor Swift wasn't there, but he was not invited to Memorial Day. She was joined by Hailee Steinfeld, the 16-year-old who played a 14-year-old girl in True Grit, and Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr, who spent the weekend getting cut out of paparazzi photos of Taylor Swift and Hailee Steinfeld.

One day, the members of GirlClub went out for a meal with 28-year-old Lena Dunham, whom Taylor Swift knows from Twitter ( “We have D.M.’ed.,” said Lena Dunham), and Lena Dunham’s 29-year-old boyfriend from the band fun., whom Taylor Swift knows from Lena Dunham. A fan (or possibly just someone who recognizes famous people) tweeted a picture of the back of their heads, and then deleted it.

A weird thing to think about is that Hailee Steinfeld probably had to get her parents’ permission to participate in this hang.

“Can you give me a ride to the airport so that I can hang out with my friend Taylor Swift in Rhode Island at a mansion she owns and have dinner with the naked girl from GIRLS and her 29-year-old boyfriend?”

And her parents had to say “Yes, that sounds like a fun Memorial Day,” and Jessica Szohr from Gossip Girl had to say “I’m here too.”

What do you think they all talked about at dinner? Did Hailee make a bold opening move by suggesting they discuss “the taste of alcohol, which we all know so well” and then bluffing her way through it (“It tastes like nail polish remover but sweet”)? Did they talk about how they hoped, when they returned to Taylor Swift’s giant white mansion, they wouldn’t find the bloated corpse of a man from Chicago washed up on its stone beach? Did they talk about Taylor Swift, who would appear to be the only thing they have in common?

Us Weekly reports that, on Monday, Taylor Swift, Hailee Steinfield, and Taylor Swift and Hailee Steinfeld's friend from Gossip Girl all wore variations of red, white, and blue outfits. They note that Taylor’s maroon sweater “appeared to be black in the shade.”
