The Arrested Development Banana Stand Is Now a Reality
Camille Dodero · 05/08/13 02:34PMBluth's Original Frozen Banana stand opened for business today in Britain, marking only two weeks and four days left before Arrested Development returns to Netflix. The promotional pop-up will be traveling through London, Los Angeles, and New York City in the run-up to Sunday, May 26, when all 15 episodes of season four will be available to watch on that magical streaming box in your lap, an occasion which Michael Cera and Jason Bateman will personally commemorate by burning the banana stand to the ground and visiting Jeffrey Tambor in prison. OK, maybe not that last part.

Louis Peitzman · 05/27/12 02:52PMFor many of us, Memorial Day means two things: sleeping in and not getting mail. But in the spirit of commemorating fallen soldiers, wouldn't it be appropriate to watch some heavy war films and remember the sacrifices made by our troops? Plus, with endless streaming movie options, you don't even have to leave the house to do it.

Just because Netflix users aren't professional film critics doesn't mean they don't have strong opinions. Some Netflix reviews are, in fact, insightful, cogent, and sharply composed — but who wants to read those? In honor of the 2012 Academy Awards on Sunday, here are the best of the worst Netflix reviews of the 10 Best Picture nominees.

Hamilton Nolan · 02/02/12 03:30PMThis week, Time Inc. announced that it will be closing down its three year-old Maghound service—billed at its launch as "The Netflix of magazines." Seemed like a decent idea at the time. Turned out not to be. The Netflix business model is not as flexible as previously suspected. In reality, a business plan that reads "The Netflix of [anything new]" is a signal to run in the opposite direction.
