On Friday, the decomposing body of Jivan Kohar was recovered from a bush in a Nepalese village, Reuters reports. His throat had been slit. Five people have been arrested in connection with his death, which reports said may have been a case of human sacrifice.

Nepalese army officials announced Saturday that all eight bodies had been recovered from a U.S. Marine helicopter that crashed earlier this week, the Associated Press reports. There were six Marines and two Nepalese soldiers aboard.

Today, Nepal and China both recognize a height of 8,848 meters — but in recent border talks China has used the rock height of Mount Everest, while Nepal wants to recognize the snow height, which is about meters higher. Global positioning systems will be set up at three separate locations, but it will be two years before the official height is measured.

Two American women were married today in a Hindu temple outside of Kathmandu, marking Nepal's first public lesbian wedding. One of newlyweds hailed Nepal's recognition of same-sex unions and said, "I hope the US will follow Nepal's example."
