The Times reports that former MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann will likely announce a deal with Current TV, Al Gore's cable channel, tomorrow. (Guess he decided not to follow our advice, unless he'll be hosting a cooking show there or something.) Olbermann might also "separately pursue other ventures, like an Internet destination," which we hope means he'll keep Tweeting photos of snow in New York City. [NYT]

HBO just ordered a pilot from Social Network writer and West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin for a behind-the-scenes drama about cable news. Sorkin shadowed MNSBC's Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews as research. Half the action will take place on Twitter.

Rep. Anthony Weiner, he's always got the jokes. Following last night's speeches, he told MSNBC that he "needed a drink" after hearing Paul Ryan's apocalyptic Republican response. And as for Michele Bachmann, she's "clearly not in touch with the mothership."
