Getting an editorial job at OK! Magazine has proven to be similar to riding a merry-go-round where you get your head chopped off after one go-round. That said, we'd like to welcome OK!'s new editorial boss! We hear many things.

Ending its long slog toward death, Window Media, the company that publishes a number of gay newspapers throughout the country—including the country's oldest, the Washington Blade, in D.C.—has ceased publications of all their titles.

New York Post, November 13: "Lou Dobbs walked away from more than $9 million when he quit CNN." And today, the Post has a brand new "EXCLUSIVE".

• Another senior Observer editor is bidding goodbye to the paper. [Politico]
• Fashion mags are expecting their fortunes to improve in 2010. [WWD]

Rohde's remark suggests that other press blackouts, like the one enforced for seven month by the New York Times as it tried to negotiate Rohde's release, are currently in place regarding abducted reporters.

New York Observer executive editor Josh Benson is leaving the paper at the end of the year along with departing top editor Tom McGeveran. Benson tells Michael Calderone he's joining McGeveran in his non-Jared Kushner-affiliated future project. [Politico]
