Every year they add a new level to the Dantean inferno that is artistic living in Brooklyn. Now that the youth hostel of infinite microphone feedback, McKibbin flats, is so 00's, they're building an ironic trailer park for 2010.

A daring Times reporter infiltrated the bedbug-ridden, crime-infested, lame-party-throwing McKibbin lofts in Bushwick. Was it dirty and gross like you might expect? Oh yes, very very much so. Also, saddest thing ever, there was a 61-year-old living there, with his wife. Unironically. Because it's the cheapest place in town. Where to begin? With the urine, I guess:

248 McKibbin, the almost certainly filthy hipster-warehouse living space that was once infested with bedbugs and also fought the police, posted a Myspace rant against their neighbors, 255 McKibbin, chiefly concerning the quality of their parties. An exerpt from "RANT: Big parties at 255 McKibbin" follows.

We declare the infamous hipster loft building at 255 McKibbin Street to be an official no-go zone. Over on the building's MySpace—the building has a MySpace!—the tales of bedbug woe throughout the building are pouring in. It is time to fully quarantine the area.
