Marcello Trebitsch, the son-in-law of former New York state Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, was sentenced in Manhattan federal court Wednesday to two years in prison after admitting to having orchestrated a $6 million Ponzi scheme. Two weeks ago, Silver was convicted of corruption in an entirely unrelated case.
