Jim Gilmore (otherwise known as the only veteran still in the running for president or, more often, “who?”) is no longer running for the GOP candidacy. This information probably does not affect you. And frankly, this information probably only marginally affects Jim Gilmore. Because as his online activity reveals, Jim Gilmore’s campaign was very, very sad.

Back in August, ex-Virginia governor Jim Gilmore was included in the group of 17 Republican candidates who participated in one of two inaugural debates in Cleveland. Yesterday, in New Hampshire, he received less votes than dropouts Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, 73-year-old retired public school custodian Richard Witz, and Democratic candidate Vermin Supreme, who wears a galosh on his head.

According to Politico, former Virginia Governor and future Google search term “Jim Gilmore” filed papers to run for president today, bringing the total number of Republican presidential hopefuls to seven-goddamn-teen.
