Alumni Report: Dalton Edition

cityfile · 07/08/08 12:45PM

Dalton was in the news last week when it was revealed that not a single graduating senior had landed a spot at Harvard. According to Page Six magazine, at Dalton's graduation ceremony last month, "one mom was heard muttering, 'I won't send my grandchildren here, that's for sure.'" Fret not, Dalton parents! A long list of notable people have walked the halls of the posh school, even a few people (like Arden Wohl, left) who don't seem to be famous for any other reason than for wearing unusual headgear and attending lots of parties. A list of other Dalton grads after the jump.

Is One Crazy Celebrity Better Than Another?

Hamilton Nolan · 03/04/08 04:52PM

Designer Jill Stuart may have had enough of Lindsay Lohan's slutty shenanigans! Stuart signed the persistently famous Lohan on as the face of her brand for a big ad campaign last year, but now she is reportedly looking at Hilary Swank as a "more professional image" for her next campaign [Mixed Media]. A double standard could be in effect; a lifetime of drug use and crazy behavior by Rolling Stone Keith Richards hasn't prevented him from being picked as the new face of Louis Vuitton. If a luxury brand wants a wild celebrity fronting it, shouldn't they at least pick an attractive one? After the jump, a visual comparison of Lohan's ads with Richards' ad. See if you can tell which has lived harder.

More from Radar magazine (launching April 22nd). Gossip items from an article titled, "Monsters, Inc":
· Documentarian Michael Moore: Fabricated a scene in Bowling for Columbine in which a hapless bank teller hands him a gun, in exchange for opening a bank account, telling her that the standard practice of getting a coupon for a gun store and waiting for a background check wouldn't work for the film.
· Designer Jill Stuart: Sued by consultant Beth Blake, who alleged Stuart's husband offered her $10,000 to engage in a sexual relationship with Stuart, which would be just the thing to "put a little sex and sizzle into the collection." "I'll give you a pill," he said. "You'll never know what happened!"
· Producer Scott Rudin: After work, underlings must stick around to clean his officeknown as "The Dungeon"extracting his nail clippings from the carpet and "resetting" each chintzy power bauble on his desk (like the glass horse head must face the window at a 45-degree angle.)
