Late in the afternoon on the West Coast, a California judge ruled that a 13-year-old girl named Jahi McMath be kept on life support at Children's Hospital Oakland. The case has come before a court there in the wake of a botched tonsil surgery that eventually sent the girl into cardiac arrest.
