A U.S. Border Patrol agent has been charged with capital murder in the case of a Honduran man who was decapitated in an act of drug cartel violence earlier this year.

Jose Manuel Mireles, the leader of a network of vigilantes who fought against Mexican drug cartels in Michoacán, was arrested for gun possession this week, according to law enforcement officials. Before his arrest, Mireles had reportedly refused to formally ally his group with a new rural police force.

After being arrested in connection to a homicide in Alabama, Jose Martinez confessed to killing a man on the edge of a wooded area last March. Then he confessed to twenty-nine more murders as he detailed his life as an enforcer for Mexican drug cartels.

The anti-heroic menstruation of a Mexican prostitute has saved fearsome Sinaloa cartel boss Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman from arrest, Univision reports. Apparently a third party hired the prostitute without telling her she'd be servicing Guzman, a billionaire druglord who has been on the lam since escaping prison 11 years ago. According to Mexican daily Reforma, the prostitute was blindfolded and taken to a rented home in Los Cabos without being told who her client would be.
