Own the First Dog on Your Block to See 'Beverly Hills Chihuahua'
STV · 09/11/08 12:20PMAs noted in this morning's Fall Movie Hell forecast, the world's breathless anticipation of Beverly Hills Chihuahua is nearing its Oct. 3 payoff. Americans Select Girl-Dog for Obama
Pareene · 08/28/08 01:07PMBarack Obama promised his adorable daughters that he would get them a puppy if he won the presidency (they would surely mention this fact more often if they really wanted to win). The American Kennel Club had a poll to decide what sort of dog Obama should get. (Of course, Obama should rescue a dog from a shelter and not select an expensive purebred, but whatevs.) The winner? The bastards appear to be listening, however, as a new teaser making the rounds features the angry, George Lopez-voiced hero Papi rallying the diminutive troops, wetting panties and calling for "mas" all-you-can-eat taco bars and "no mas" handbag accessorizing. Seriously — who can wait for this?

(Her dog, Lola, weighed 16.2 pounds when the normal weight for chihuahuas is four to six pounds.) There are no photos of the owner, so we just have to go by the clues laid out for us in the article:
