The $29 Cheeseburger Comes To The Bowery

Joshua Stein · 07/11/07 03:00PM

Eater reports chef for the wealthy Daniel Boulud is opening up a "casual yet elegant eatery" at 299 Bowery, blocks from the former CBGB space. Housed in that glassy monolith at 299 Bowery, the place will be called DBGB and feature a $29 burger. Said burger comes stuffed with braised short ribs and foie gras, served with black truffle, parmesan bun and french fries. Of course if you're feeling edgy, you could opt for the Downtown Burger, which is only $25, and comes with pulled pork and a kosher pickle. Surely that's what Joey Ramone would have gotten after a long night of heroin abuse and rock n' roll.
