cityfile · 10/13/09 08:01AM

Kimora Lee Simmons is looking to unload a decidedly modest home she owns in East Hampton. The 2,300-square-foot home, which Kimora picked up for $690,000 in 2003, is currently listed for $800,000. Don't expect to find any evidence that the Queen of Bling has spent much time there: In addition to the much larger estate she owns nearby, she also has a $20 million mansion in Saddle River, NJ, which has been on the market since 2007. • Retired tech exec Lawrence Mueller and his wife Mary Kay have dropped the price of their three-bedroom condo at 15 Central Park West five months after first listing it for $16.5 million. The 25th-floor condo, which the couple bought for $5.99 million in late '07, is now priced at $15.5 million. [Curbed, PDE]

• Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Thani, a member of Qatar's royal family, appears to be turning bullish on the Manhattan real estate market: He just raised the price of his apartment at Trump Park Avenue by $4 million. The three-bedroom pad, which al-Thani bought for $6.1 million in 2005 and put on the market for $14 million in 2008, was reduced to $10 million in February. It's now priced at $14 million again with broker Carrie Chiang. [Cityfile, Corcoran]
• Developer Alexandre Bosoni and his wife, Maria, have closed on a penthouse at 170 East End Avenue that they went into contract to purchase in 2006. The couple paid $11.6 million for the 4,900-square-foot pad. [Cityfile]
• Valerie Rozen, the daughter of former Goldman Sachs partner Bob Mnuchin, paid $4.8 million for a sixth-floor apartment at 433 East 74th Street. [Cityfile]
• Actress Tuesday Weld has dropped the price of her mansion in Montauk. The 1.2-acre waterfront estate, which went on the market for $9.9 million two years ago, is now priced at $7.75 million. [Newsday, T&C]

Doom and Gloom at 740 Park

Ezra Merkin, the financier who steered $1.8 billion into Bernie Madoff's pockets, officially stepped down today as the chairman of GMAC, the financing arm of General Motors. The move was widely expected given the reputation-shattering events of the past few weeks, a staggeringly swift fall for a resident of New York's richest apartment building and the president of one of the city's most prominent synagogues. But when there's blood in the water, the sharks turn up for dinner, which is why Merkin's art adviser, Ben Heller, says his phone is ringing off the hook.
