Is Andy Samberg the Hipster Cop in Brooklyn Nine-Nine?

Maggie Lange · 05/15/13 09:45AM

Andy Samberg, goofball extraordinaire and winsome crooner, is playing a cop in a new Fox show out this fall called Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Do not fear—he will not attempt to play the grizzled, tough talking, late-hours-keeping cop of your normal television drama. It's a comedy! Samberg plays a police officer steeped in lackadaisical attitudes and a particularly hip/ironic dress code (leather jacket, "secret tie"). With a propensity to goof and a priority for dressing in his own styles, Samberg seems to be channeling the infamously dapper Hipster Cop.

Mark Zuckerberg Rented Andy Samberg to Make Fun of Him

Ryan Tate · 09/22/11 06:14PM

Andy Samberg opened Facebook's F8 conference today, and thanks to YouTube you can now watch the Saturday Night Live cast member's slightly cutting impersonation of CEO Mark Zuckerberg. If Zuck pays a comedian to remind you he's awkward with girls, chloroforms competitors, and pushes users into fake friendships, will you maybe forgive him for getting rich off your private information? Please?

For its season finale, Saturday Night Live brought out two big guns: Justin Timberlake as host and Lady Gaga as musical guest. Here's the episode's soon-to-be infamous Digital Short, featuring Timberlake and Sandberg reprising their "Dick in a Box"/"Motherlover" character roles in a new song about a ménage à trois with Gaga called "3-Way (The Golden Rule)." After all, "It's not gay when it's in a three way—with a honey in the middle there's some leeway."

Watch The Lonely Island Do Spring Break 1988

Whitney Jefferson · 03/10/11 10:20AM

See Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Scaffer travel back in time to perform at MTV's 1988 Spring Break in Daytona Beach. It looks pretty "real"—especially if you can forgive the "MTV.com" logos.

Watch Mark Zuckerberg's Awkward SNL Cameo

Matt Cherette · 01/29/11 11:54PM

During host Jesse Eisenberg's monologue on tonight's Saturday Night Live, the Social Network star was surprised on stage by Andy Samberg-as-Mark Zuckerberg. But that wasn't all—shortly thereafter, the *real* Mark Zuckerberg showed up... and it was incredibly awkward!
