• Barbara Gutmacher Girard and her mother Rose are teaming up to sell their apartments at the Plaza. The two units on the building's 18th-floor, which Barbara and Rose bought last year for $4.74 million and $3.4 million, respectively, are listed separately for $8.995 million and $5.995 million. Matt Lauer Buys Southampton Cottage

Matt Lauer has picked up some new real estate in the Hamptons. The Today show co-host paid $2.15 million for a 1,500-square-foot waterfront cottage in Southampton. The 0.7-acre estate features a boat dock and a wraparound deck overlooking a pond connected to Little Peconic Bay. [WSJ]
• Luigi Zunino didn't come through. Three months after it was reported that the Italian exec was having difficulty closing on the three-unit spread at the Plaza he put a $9 million deposit on last year, the 10,026-square-foot apartment is now back on the market. • Retired Pfizer exec Gary Jortner and his wife Cindy, have picked up a new apartment at 15 CPW, just a few floors up from the smaller apartment they listed for $3.195 million earlier this month. • Patricia Blanchet, the widow of 60 Minutes correspondent Ed Bradley, has put the home where she and Ed lived for more than 30 years on the market. The 3,600-square-foot apartment at 285 Central Park West is currently listed for $7.4 million. [WSJ, Corcoran]
• Real estate developer Mark Kalimian and his wife Keren paid $9.1 million for an 18th-floor apartment at the Brompton on East 85th Street. [Cityfile]
• Mutual fund exec Charles Johnson and his wife Ann paid $3 million for a two-bedroom apartment next door to the one they already own at the Sherry Netherland. The apartment was previously owned by the late insurance executive Gerald Tsai Jr. [NYO]
