A man has come forward saying he had a “friends with benefits” relationship with the Orlando shooter, who he apparently met for sex at a hotel last December—an allegation reportedly supported by video evidence.

At least 49 people died on June 12, when Omar Mateen opened fire inside Pulse, an Orlando gay nightclub. Though Mateen paused mid-assault to call 911 and declare his allegiance to ISIS, subsequent reports from his ex-wife and several patrons of the club indicated he had expressed an interest in men and visited the nightclub on dozens of occasions, where he often got so drunk he had to be escorted out.

This week, a man with a thick accent dressed up as that big guy from Happy Gilmore went on Univision to say he’d had a sexual relationship with Mateen, who he called a “friend with benefits.”

And according to TMZ, there’s video evidence to support his claims.

Sources at the Ambassador Hotel tell TMZ, Mateen was seen on camera footage recorded December 14, 2015 around 11 PM. We’re told the video bolsters the claims of the heavily disguised man who told Univision he met up with Mateen 15-20 times at the hotel between November and December.

Our sources say the video shows Mateen walk to the front desk, speak to a staffer and then walk around a corner toward the room where the anonymous man says he was staying during their rendezvous.

“He hate gay Puerto Ricans for all the stuff he did to him,” said the man, identified only as Miguel. “I believe this crazy horrible thing he did was for revenge.”
