Rihanna, known for inspiring at least one person to copy her innovative outfits, was honored as 2014's fashion icon at the Council of Fashion Designers of America's fashion awards Monday night. Her very revealing outfit for the night highlighted one of the biggest fashion trends of the year: nudity.

Ri Ri, who recently posed topless for Lui (the classy, French answer to Playboy), wore a barely-there mesh of 230,000(!) Swarovski crystals designed by Adam Selman to the awards show.

"We definitely wanted to make it a little bit scandalous," Selman, who's been designing costumes for Rihanna since 2011, told Style.com Monday night. "The dress is just fishnet and crystals and a couple of fingers crossed. But fashion is about beauty, and the [female] body is part of that."

So, who wants to see Rihanna's nipples (again)?
