Politifact is Working Hard to Keep 'Bloggers' Honest
The fact-checkers over at Politifact work tirelessly to keep America’s political reporting, sacred as it is, free from misinformation. Now, they’re taking on perhaps the biggest threat to our—totally not compromised—political news cycle: Bloggers.
The site recently added a section dedicated to fact-checking random bloggers hell bent on corrupting our mediasphere with falsehoods. This will probably prove exhausting as bloggers can basically say whatever the hell they want, and can do so at an alarmingly fast rate. In any case, we Americans should consider ourselves lucky that we have such benevolent, watchful eyes protecting our news.
