Police say the man who crashed a stolen truck into a New York City bus, killing the driver and injuring four others was a 22-year-old who had been out partying with his uncle, model and actor Tyson Beckford, earlier that night.

Domonic Whilby started his destructive run after he was kicked out of a birthday party for Shanina Shaik, Beckford's model girlfriend, at Chelsea nightclub 1 OAK around 3:30 a.m. A short while later, a nearby hotel kicked him out of the lobby after he passed out.

According to the Daily News, Whilby couldn't locate his limousine and became enraged..

The super of a nearby apartment building reported Whilby began randomly banging on doors.

"He was sweating like a mad dog," said Victor Vega, who turned over surveillance video to police. "He had to be high on drugs. He started kicking and banging the doors."

Not far from there, in the basement of the Maritime Hotel, witnesses say he spotted an idling, unattended truck and stole it.

He only made it four blocks away before he crashed into a city bus, killing the driver, a 17-year veteran named William Pena. Four other people were injured.

Whilby was taken to Bellevue Hospital and will be charged with vehicular manslaughter.
