Phil Collins Comes Out of Retirement to Sing With Middle School Band
Phil Collins recently played his first public show since 2010 with a backup band of middle schoolers.
Collins appeared at a spring concert at private Miami Country Day School at the request of his sons, who both attend the school. He admitted he was a bit nervous, but he successfully led the student band through "In the Air Tonight" and "Land of Confusion," and even signed some autographs.
He didn't give any interviews, but he said in a statement that he found the kids "talented and enthusiastic."
Now that Collins has achieved every star's dream—being named an honorary member of the Miami Country Day School Radio Ensemble—he can go back into retirement and never have to deal with middle schoolers again.
