Putting Paula Deen aside for a minute, who on earth gives a negative rating to Martin Luther King? "He's that fella what made all that noise and got all them BLACK folks thinkin they were allowed to vote and have jobs and whatnot." I just can't imagine what kind of person you have to be.
A registered voter in North Fulton or Forsyth County?
Yeah, yeah ok, but I mean more than that. "Oh, all the white folks in the burbs are racist." This is beyond those little snackable sound bites. Really, what KIND of person do you have to be. Especially in a region such as you cite, where black people may not live in every neighborhood but they sure are a huge portion of the population, living middle class lives and all that. Who looks around them and thinks, if only all these black people were still on plantations my life would be so much better. I know this is not an answerable question.
Well that's just not fair.
You left out Cobb entirely.
These are the type of guys that vote against MLK:

One of the worst people in America is handily beating one of the greatest Americans in history. You suck, The South.
This guy has the right idea. Briefly read title from social website that provides a vague statistic to drum up page views, and then make a blanket statement about an entire region of the United States. Bravo.
If only I had hundreds of years of proof that the south is racist.
Very informed opinion. I'd like to read more about how racism only exists in the south. Or maybe you would benefit from reading about evolutionary theories of racial discrimination contributing to survival. Or maybe you'd like to look up overt and covert racism. Or, you can bury your head in the sand, smirk disapprovingly, and look forward to perpetuating everything wrong with racism in the first place.
Notice that I didn't say racism only existed in the south. But if you'd like to read more about racism in the south I'd recommend picking up any history book. Really, any one, doesn't matter which, a 5th grade history book will do. Go to the back and look up "slavery plantations" or "Jim Crow laws" and tell me what you learn.
Actually, you don't even need a history book. Drive down a southern highway and count the confederate flags you see, or go check out how long the line stretches at Paula Deen's restaurants.
No salt?
I hate myself for giving her website and her advertisers a click by reading that recipe.
I'm appalled that she used canned peas!
Muuckghh!
I've decided to publish a recipe book. It's going to be 300 pages of menus from local restaurants.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”

"I will never use a substitute for butter. Margarine is one molecule away from eating plastic."
Really Georgia conservatives?
To be fair, she isn't wrong about the butter.
Many, many other things, but not butter.
