When John Thomas's parents overheard him singing the words "I'm not sleepy" to himself over and over again in the middle of the night, they thought it was a cute moment worth capturing on tape for posterity.

What they neglected to take into account as they quietly advanced towards his room and slowly opened the door is that children have a tendency to react poorly to someone sneaking up on them in pitch-black darkness.
