Artist Jorge Colombo draws street scenes in New York using only his finger and the iPhone "Brushes" app. You might have seen his work on the cover of the New Yorker last year. In honor of his upcoming book of images of the Big Apple, here are some of his coolest cityscapes. We only wish our fingers could be so nimble.

President Obama has made the most epic gaffe in United States presidential history, just a little while ago. During his visit to Westminster Abbey today, he signed the guest book along with the date "24 May 2008." Not only did he not write "May 24" like a Real American would've, but he was also off by a year or two — at least.

Jim Newell · 05/24/11 02:05PMPoor President George W. Bush! He was simply trying to enjoy his beloved Texas Rangers last night when a foul ball came screeching for his head. Bush was sitting there, gloveless, and catcher A.J. Pierzynski nearly took out the 43rd President in his failed attempt to make the catch. Everyone survived, barely.

A federal judge has denied tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill's request for an injunction barring The Hangover 2 from opening because the studio didn't ask him for the rights to use Mike Tyson's face tattoo, which Whitmill designed and copyrighted. He still has a "strong likelihood of success" in eventually winning his case, though, according to the judge.

Jim Newell · 05/24/11 12:35PMWhile Barack Obama was sharing fine teas and cakes with the Queen of England and Kate Middleton in London today, hawkish Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu swooped himself into a long, colorful address to a joint session of Congress. Everyone loved the guy, especially Republicans! Is there any sort of waiver or whatever that they can give him to run for the U.S. presidency? Some would hope.

Maureen O'Connor · 05/24/11 12:25PMThe Musalman is the world's oldest Urdu-language daily newspaper. It is also thought to be the world's last handwritten daily newspaper. Every day, four katibs—practitioners of the ancient art of Urdu calligraphy—write The Musalman's four broadsheet pages from right to left, by hand. Mistakes sometimes require rewriting the entire page. They then send it to a printer for reproduction, and sell it on the streets of Chennai, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The 10-minute documentary above depicts the process.
