I was part of that project.
That's an exciting thing to be a part of, especially in retrospect I bet! It's been so long since we had big new public works projects like that, I really can't stop looking at the new bridge.
Looks like a 1930 or 1931 Model A Ford coupe - and if you look closely, there's a couple of lucky folks in the rumble seat who have the best view - hope one of them was recording the trip.
So what happens to the closed span? Will it get blowed up real good?
Booooo. Hopefully some folks with a good view will set up time-lapse cameras.

But not that old span! The craziest thing is going to be watching the old span demolished, which is going to take THREE YEARS. I wonder how many people will crash on the new span watching huge chunks of the old span dismantled and put on barges and then sent to Mordor to make the ultimate weapon.
