No Love for "Looking For A Girlfriend" Guy, Just Sex With 118 Women
New Yorkers who frequent Lower Manhattan have undoubtably seen Dan Perino's face plastered on one of his thousands of "looking for a girlfriend" fliers. Since he started posting the ads for companionship last summer, he's been flooded with phone calls—more than 8,000, he tells news.com.au. He also claims to have "hooked up" with 118 women.

"It's been going great" Perino, 50, told the Australia-based news site. "I've had...hook-ups with 118 girls, but the dating is a lot more than that."

And in case you're wondering what 'hook-ups' means, Perino was blunt: "sex".
Perino apparently also found time between hookups to film a documentary, write a short story, and "is hoping to fund a reality show from his exploits."
And the calls keep coming. The phone keeps ringing.
"I was getting 200-300 calls per day. I couldn't get back to everybody, it was difficult. I've got back to everybody by now, there's been over 8000 phone calls," Perino told news.com.au. "I posted well over 40,000 flyers. I try to keep it below 14th street although I do go up to mid-town sometimes."
Whether he intended it or not, he's a minor New York celebrity now. Some women "get nervous" around him on dates, he says.
But even after all the dates and all the sex, still no girlfriend? Perino insists he's not "picky" when it comes to choosing a partner, but if he had to say: a nice, human woman that is aged 25-37 and is "marriage material" and wants a family. Also: this woman should be available "every day or every other day to go walking or unplanned events."
Another problem for Perino is that he just can't seem to say the right things on dates.
"There's an interview process," Perino says. "Even if you go on a coffee date, there's an interview process the women does. They kind of ask you questions without you knowing … to see if you're going to be strong enough and attractive enough to be with them there's no such thing as men picking up women, it just doesn't exist."
