A newspaper in New Zealand had to issue an apology this week after running a photo of deceased Jackass star Ryan Dunn instead of Israeli soldier Guy Boyland, who was killed in Gaza this month.

The New Zealand Herald says that the image was pulled from the Facebook page of Boyland, who was apparently a fan of Dunn's. Dunn died in a car crash in 2011.

Herald Editor Shayne Currie apologized to Boyland's family. "The family members have been remarkably forgiving, particularly in the circumstances," Currie said. "I have apologized for adding to their grief and I will keep them fully updated on how this happened as obviously it is unacceptable."

The resemblance between the Israeli soldier and Ryan Dunn is strong, as they are both white men with blond beards, but presumably only one of the two put a toy car up his asshole.
