NORTH CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA—Donald Trump’s North Charleston rally was mercifully small and even more mercifully short, which is to say all the real drama occurred outside the event, where several full-grown adults got into an actual scatalogical argument.

An adult male voter telling another adult male voter he should “go doodoo in [his] mouth” and waterboard himself in a toilet—could there be a better metaphor for politics?
