The NYPD is investigating a fight that broke out this past weekend between passengers on a Washington Square station-bound F train. The video, uploaded to YouTube on Saturday, is appropriately titled, "Man smacks the soul out of girl on the NY Subway."

The slap comes around 1:00 mark—it's loud and it sounds like it hurt. A woman and what appears to be her group of friends have words with a tall man in a trapper hat, dissing his style. The woman eyes the man with his phone recording them, and she smacks the phone out of his hands and onto the floor before turning back to talk to the man in the hat. As their back-and-forth continues, the man slaps the woman, sending the subway car into a free-for-all brawl, the cameraman screaming in excitement.

So much happening on the F train these days.

Update, 1:56 p.m.: Gothamist reports that four have been arrested by police in connection to Saturday's fight:

According to the NYPD, Jorge Pena, 25, was charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct. Kevin Gil, 21, was also charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct. Danay Howard, a 21-year-old female, was charged with felony assault and disorderly conduct, and Shanique Campbell, 20, was charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct.

Jorge Pena was transported to the hospital with minor cuts to his face; the other suspects declined medical attention at the scene.
