Malaysian Officials: Mystery of Flight 370 May Never Be Solved
On Wednesday, Malaysian officials announced that the reasons for Flight 370's disappearance may never be known.
"Investigations may go on and on and on. We have to clear every little thing," Malaysian Police Inspector General Khalid Abu Bakar told reporters in Kuala Lumpur, according to the Associated Press. "At the end of the investigations, we may not even know the real cause. We may not even know the reason for this incident."
Bakar added that all of the Flight 370's passengers have been investigated and cleared of any wrong doing. He also said that investigators have now conducted more than 170 interviews with family members of the flight's crew. The plane's cargo and food has also been investigated for any signs of sabotage or poisoning, Bakar said.
Meanwhile, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak flew to Australia on Wednesday to discuss the on-going search for the missing plane, which now includes ten planes, nine ships, and a submarine from the UK.
