L'Wren Scott, Mick Jagger's Girlfriend, Dead From Apparent Suicide
L'Wren Scott, a fashion designer and model dating Mick Jagger, was found hanged to death Monday morning.
Scott's assistant discovered the body just after 10 am, according to the NYPD. No foul play is suspected, and the death is believed to be a suicide. It's not clear if there was a note.
The Utah-born Scott had her own fashion label popular with celebrities. She was a fixture on Jagger's arm and, at around 6-foot-3, towered over her famous boyfriend.
She founded her high-end label in 2006 and recently created a more affordable line of clothes with Banana Republic.
On the red carpet, she has dressed stars like Nicole Kidman, Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Jessica Parker and Angelina Jolie.
Scott and Jagger had been together since 2001. A spokesman told the New York Post that Jagger was "completely shocked and devastated" by Scott's death.
