Want world peace overnight? Pass a law that says everyone who votes to go to war has to fight in it.

That was part of the point of the draft, if the country decided to go to war, we'd be entirely invested in it. By the time Vietnam rolled around, the corruption of that system started to seep through and you had guys like Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney, and Romney getting deferments for BS reasons. Now, we send farm boys and inner city kids with few other options to war while we complain about the Kardashians (yes, that was flamebait comment- go ahead).

Republicans love to talk about the "greatest generation" or the good old days. Do you know what was going on during WWII? We had the draft, rationing, high taxes, curfews, lots of volunteering, lots of "we're in this together" talk, we aggressively prosecuted war profiteers, etc. And they think we're on the cusp of socialism now? They would lose their ever loving minds if we asked them to do these things for the current war efforts.

Uhhh, no...the point of the draft was to get enough people. No silly reason like "It would make people think twice."

Agreed, it was a matter of resources. It had a side effect of (we wish) having people think twice before we go to war because their sons would go.

Zomg those were so pointless!

Not like my awesome AirMax cushions, I remember how spaceage those looked.

I'm glad athletic footwear is "natural" now and not gimmicky (hahahahahahahahaha)

The AirMax brand survived and out here in CO is the official show of Nortenos and Surenos

Zomg those were so pointless!

My brother-in-law used to be bullied by a kid at school who would push him down on the ground and then yell, "PUMP MY SHOE, BITCH!!" .. so I guess they were at least somewhat useful.

But they are old and maybe behind the times. How about the Carlton Dance?

Carlton seems to "urban" for Halliburton. How about the Achy Breaky?

Can you see my cyrus theme of dance. groundbreakers I tell you, groundbreakers.

I got it. Either the Chicken Dance or the Electric Slide. Those execs have been to enough weddings to think those are still hip dances
