Following reports from the Globe and Mail and Gawker about a new Rob Ford crack tape, the Toronto Star published a story detailing the Toronto mayor's latest descent into heavy boozing and alleged drug use. The report focuses on the night of March 15 during which Ford allegedly rode a party bus, vomited in a club bathroom, and was insulted by Canada's second most famous citizen, Justin Bieber.

The wild night reportedly began at about 10 p.m. outside of Toronto's city hall, where Ford met four men. All five took a taxi to Ford's home, located about 25 minutes outside of Toronto's downtown. Ford then ordered a party bus, which took the group back into the city, to a club called Muzik.

At Muzik, where the mayor is apparently a regular—the owner, Zlatko Starkovski, has reportedly told his staff that "[Ford's] money is no good here"—Ford and his crew sat in a private booth, where they were waited on by three hostesses, all of whom had surrendered their cell phones to security.

Not long after, Ford wandered into the club's common area and ran into Bieber, who was there partying with his own entourage. According to the Star, Bieber jokingly asked Ford, "Did you bring any crack to smoke?" Ford, furious, returned to his private booth and reportedly proceeded to drink heavily throughout the night.

People familiar with his activities over the next five hours (at least two partygoers, a Canadian actress and a Bieber follower tweeted that Ford and Bieber were there but did not provide details) say that Ford drank to excess and at one point went to a private washroom. He emerged 45 minutes later and was incoherent and rambling.

"My wife and children hate me. I am in over my head," Ford reportedly said.

A cleaner at Muzik had to go into the bathroom and clean up vomit left after Ford exited. Two sources told the Star that Ford returned to the table and kept drinking, staying at the club until 5 a.m.

Several weeks later, on April 5, a drunken Ford was reportedly banned from the executive lounge at the Air Canada Center. Undeterred, Ford returned to Muzik, where, according to the Star, one eyewitness him doing lines of cocaine in a closed-off section of the club. Later, he emerged, clearly inebriated according to the report, rambling that "no one knows what I'm going through."

After news of the latest crack video broke Wednesday night, Ford, who had been in the middle of a reelection campaign, announced he was taking a "leave from campaigning and from [his] duties as Mayor to get immediate help.

"I have tried to deal with these issues by myself over the past year," Ford said in the statement. "I know that I need professional help and I am now 100% committed to getting myself right."
