Dr. Oz has been in hot water lately for shilling weight-loss products with no proven benefits on his popular daytime talk show. Last night, John Oliver joined the pile-on with a little help from his tap-dancing friends.

After taking Oz to task for his ringing endorsements of magic beans, miracle pills, and one-weird-tricks, the Last Week Tonight host dropped some knowledge about the U.S.'s shamefully lax regulations on dietary supplements. ("The industry is essentially supposed to police itself. That's like one of those porn sites that asks you to enter your own age.")

Then, to show the good doctor that it's possible to play to your audience's basest impulses without telling them to buy untested, potentially dangerous substances, Oliver brings out George R.R. Martin, Steve Buscemi, a marching band, and an adorable puppy. Let's keep pandering!
