Jay From Serial Is Apparently Ready to Talk
A man purporting to be Jay—Baltimore County's star witness in their case against Adnan Syed for the 1999 killing of Hae Min Lee, and whose slippery narrative of the day was documented in detail by the podcast Serial—has posted to his Facebook page that he's ready to talk.
Jay from @serial posted on FB that he wants to give an interview. Also? He's Team Hae (even though he buried her.) pic.twitter.com/vbRJZwocni

Writer Kelly Oxford first tweeted the screenshot from a man going by the name "Slim Wilds" on Christmas Eve, though Oxford's connection to Serial or Jay is unclear. Episode eight of Serial's first season (which just wrapped) was devoted to host Sarah Koenig attempting to track down and finally speak with Jay. Koenig and her producer were able to find him, but he declined to be recorded for the podcast.
"Jay's" Facebook post has since been deleted, the sleuths of Reddit noticed.
