Horrifying Surveillance Video Captures SUV Slamming Into Bronx Boy
NBC New York released horrifying surveillance footage today of an SUV slamming a 12-year-old boy on his bike into a Bronx storefront. The boy, Abraham Al-Saidi, somehow escaped with a just a broken leg and arm.
Al-Saidi told NBC New York that even though he was hit hard, "it didn't hurt that much because I didn't feel it, because it came right away." The footage was captured on May 10th in the Bronx, and it's not clear if the driver was ever charged.
Residents say the area of the crash, near White Plains Road and Watson Avenue, is especially dangerous because "everybody is trying to beat the light." From the video, it looks like the SUV driver was attempting a quick U-turn and lost control of the car.
