Horrific Footage of Violent NJ Home Invasion Caught on Nanny Cam
A reward of $5,000 has been offered by authorities in New Jersey for information leading to the arrest of a man who forced his way into the Millburn home, and brutally assaulted the occupant in front of her three-year-old daughter.
The horrific home invasion took place last Friday around 10:30 AM.
The suspect, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound black male with a "light salt and pepper beard," reportedly forced his way into the home of the unidentified woman, and proceeded to viciously attack her as her's 3-year-old girl sat on the couch nearby.
The victim's 18-month-old boy was sleeping upstairs at the time.
"I knew that if I started screaming, my daughter would too, and I was afraid she would get hurt," the mother later told News 12 New Jersey. "I took it. I didn't cry the entire time."
The man eventually left the home with several pieces of jewelry, including the woman's wedding ring.
Emergency services transported the woman to an area hospital, where she was treated for a concussion and facial injuries.
The entire disturbing incident was captured on video by a nearby nanny cam, and Millburn Police hope the footage will help hasten the man's capture.
They are asking anyone with information to contact Lt. Keith Laverty at 973-564-7001.
