This video is being called "the worst hit-and-run attempt ever," and with good reason.

After slamming into a taxi near the 1400 block of West Belmont on Chicago's North Side, a black SUV attempted to flee the scene, only to be blocked in by the cab driver and other cars he managed to enlist for the makeshift barricade.

That proved a weak deterrent for the SUV, which, as it later turned out, was stolen.

After the cab driver decided to extract the SUV's driver from his vehicle by force, the latter decided to make a run for it — even if that meant hitting several more cars on the way out.

According to DNAinfo Chicago, police eventually caught up with the SUV and arrested the driver.

As for the cab driver, he is currently out of work waiting for the $3,000 worth of damage to his taxi to be repaired.
