Robby Burleigh, a 42 year-old Baton Rouge Community College professor of philosophy, biomedical ethics, and logic, is innocent until proven guilty. That said:

Burleigh was arrested last week after his 20 year-old fiancee—who is also one of his students—told police that he reacted poorly after learning that she was pregnant. Specifically, according to the Times-Picayune, she said that he "threw her to the floor, pinned her down and broke her phone so she couldn't call for help. She said he also dragged her across the floor to a gunsafe and told her 'You're going to commit suicide today.'"

Burleigh's students describe the professor of ethics, who is innocent until proven guilty, as "laid back," "chilled out," and "full of surprises."
