Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump edged out Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio to win the Republican primary on Saturday evening, giving us all a little more hope that the country and the world is headed for a slow and excruciating demise.

The Associated Press projected Trump to win a little after 7 p.m., when he was leading by a substantial margin.

And despite our best efforts, we just can’t seem to look away from the train wreck that has been engulfing one of the two largest political parties in the country. What a world.

Update 7:57 p.m.

According to reports, something is afoot at the Jeb Bush camp. It’s not clear whether supporters have been told yet that their candidate suffered a crushing defeat. Please clap.
