Cops Arrest California Teens for "Very Specific" School Shooting Plot
Two South Pasadena High School students were arrested Monday after school officials tipped off police to a "very specific" school shooting plot. South Pasadena police Sgt. Brian Solinsky told the Pasadena Star-News that the teen boys wrote down the names of their targets and "were researching weapons and how to fire and assemble them."
School doesn't start at South Pasadena High until Thursday, so officers were lucky to catch the plot early. Sgt. Robert Bartl told the Star-News that cops' main goal was "to make sure the investigation was moving very quick." One student was arrested without incident on Monday, and the other resisted arrest at his home.
While cops haven't released all the details about the plot, they did say that the targets included three teachers and two students. Bartl said the boys "researched rifles, handguns, submachine guns, bombs and explosives, specifically propane."
